Immediately following Doug Ford’s announcement regarding the ‘state of emergency’ status related to COVID-19, most Agency staff are working from home at this time. The situation within our community and FACSFLA’s response is fluid. We are balancing the service responsibilities we are mandated to provide to children, youth and families with the well-being and safety for staff.
Public Access to Offices:
Sharbot Lake, Sydenham and Northbrook sites are closed as of today.
The Napanee office has a sign posted on the main door stating the office will be closed to essential visitors only as of 4:30 today and people will be asked to call the main switch board to either speak to their worker or the referral centre should they require service.
The Kingston office location will have a posted sign that states the doors will be locked as of March 18th and people will be asked to call the main office telephone # unless it is urgent to attend the location. This may be for urgent risk issues only. Prior to anyone entering the building all essential visitors will be screened and a decision will then be made regarding admission. It is best to call the office prior to attending.
