Sir John A. Macdonald, Canada’s first prime minister, has launched our new history video. Family and Children's Services of Frontenac, Lennox and Addington is celebrating its more than 100 years of service with the creation of a new history video and posters, which feature stories and pictures about the world as it was when it opened its doors in 1894. Sir John traveled through time to the present to help launch the video on YouTube courtesy of The Sir John A. Macdonald Bicentennial Commission.
“We are proud of our history. Our story is really the story of this community and its people. We were created by local people just like you who wanted to keep children safe. We’ve been doing it ever since,” said Steve Woodman, Executive Director of Family and Children’s Services. “This video and posters will show how far we’ve all come in more than 100 years of service to this community.”
